What is a book without a reader?
Hi! My name is Christian James. Counterintuitively, I’m from France. Believe it or not, both Christian and James are French name and surname. You just have to pronounce them with a French accent (James sounds more like the English “Jam”).
I’m currently diving in the literary history of Florence, Italy, where I am pursuing a degree in Italian Literature. When I’m not buried in Dante or Petrarca, I take time to explore the winding streets of this magical city, which has become my second home. Also write on this blog.
Why I Write
I love writing because it helps me understand the world better. I also want to help others through my writing. Whether it’s a book review or writing tips, my aim is to make this blog useful and interesting. And I don’t really care to be a successful published author. As long as there are even a handful of people in the world that can be transported to my imaginary worlds, then I’m happy.
My Journey
I’ve always loved books. I spent a lot of time in bookshops back in Lyon when I was younger. When it was time to go to university, I chose to come to Italy. I was interested in Italian literature, and Florence seemed like the right place to learn more.
